Anderson opens the article by discussing the two drivers of Giant’s E-bike technology, the SyncDrive motors and the EnergyPak E-bike batteries.
SyncDrive Motors: All of Giant, Liv and Momentum’s E-bike motors feature Smart Assist Technology. In short, Smart Assist uses 6-sensor technology to measure rider input and terrain feedback to then provide automatic motor adjustment accordingly, to make the ride feel as natural as possible.
EnergyPak Batteries: Giant’s EnergyPak batteries (powered by Panasonic) are the smartest and most reliable electric bike batteries in the market with features such as overcharge protection, waterproof sleeve protection, and equal cell charging, as well as being robust and durable. Anderson also notes that Giant’s E-bike batteries come in two tiers: Energypak and Energypak Smart (boasting a higher energy density meaning more range with less weight).
